"Not as screen-reader friendly as I expected"
I went to oceanhouseri.com expecting it to be straightforward to find basic info, but it ended up being harder to use than I thought. My screen reader didn’t read some of the buttons clearly, and a few menus were confusing to get through.
I also noticed the contrast was low in some spots, which made parts of the site harder to see. It technically works, but compared with what I expected from a modern website, the accessibility could use more attention.

It’s an okay place overall, like the space itself wasn’t bad, but our event just felt a bit messy. The staff seemed confused at times, and then the timing was off, and people were kind of standing around not sure what was happening next. Maybe it was just an off day, I don’t know, but it didn’t feel very organized.

"Not sure I’d give it another try"
I went in hoping for a decent meal, but the food just wasn’t great. It tasted bland, and some of it seemed like it had been sitting around for a while. The service was fine, I guess, and the staff seemed nice enough, but that didn’t really make up for how disappointing the meal was. Maybe they have better days, but based on my visit, I wouldn’t go back.

"Felt unwelcome during my visit"
Thinking back on my visit, the main thing I remember is how uncomfortable the staff made me feel. When I asked a couple of basic questions, they seemed cold, almost like I was bothering them. Maybe they were just busy or having an off day, but that’s the impression that stuck with me. It made the whole experience feel awkward, i don’t think I’d go back.

"I guess the place was okay..."
I guess the place was okay, but the service really dragged. It took a while to get anyone’s attention, and it kind of felt like no one was too worried about checking in. Maybe they were just busy, but I can’t say I left feeling very taken care of.

"Not really the coastal view I expected"
I booked this thinking we’d get a nice coastal view, but it was mostly rooftops with just a tiny bit of water visible if you leaned over. Maybe I’m being picky, but that doesn’t really count as a coastal view to me. For what we were expecting, it just didn’t feel worth it

"Concierge Help Was Basically Nonexistent"
I couldn't believe how unhelpful the concierge was. I asked for help and got practically nothing in return, which felt ridiculous. Like, what is even the point of having a concierge if they can't assist with anything? Super frustrating experience

"Tiny room for what we paid"
The room was just way too small for the price. Like, really small. We could barely even open our bags without getting in each other’s way. For what we paid, I expected at least a little more space, but it felt cramped the whole time. Just too tiny, especially for the cost.

"Frustrating check-in experience"
For some reason, check-in was way more stressful than it needed to be. We barely got any information, ended up just waiting around, and it felt like nobody really knew what was going on. It was a bad start to the stay, i wouldn’t book here again.

I felt like the food was way too expensive for what I got. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t think the prices matched the experience.

I had an issue with my order and thought it would be a simple fix, but it turned into a whole stressful back-and-forth. Support kept sending me basically the same response, and I had to wait forever just to hear anything. In the end, nothing was really resolved, and it felt like they were just hoping I’d give up and stop asking. Definitely not using oceanhouseri.com again.

"Maybe I Expected Too Much History"
I don’t know, maybe I built it up too much in my head before going, but I was expecting a lot more old charm. It looked nice enough, and to be fair I might’ve been in a picky mood that day, but everything felt a little too polished and plain for me. Not a bad place at all, just didn’t really give me that historic feel I was hoping for.

I booked this mostly because it was oceanfront, since everyone always makes that sound like the best option. i didn’t really get the hype. The view was at first, but after a bit it just felt windy, noisy, and kind of out of the way. Getting around was more annoying than I expected, and parking nearby was a hassle. Maybe other people love being right by the water, but for the price, I thought it would feel a lot more special. I probably wouldn’t choose it again just for the oceanfront location.

I don’t know. The whole place felt cold. Not really welcoming. The vibe was just off. Kind of dull, like nobody put much thought into making it feel warm or cozy. I was expecting a nice beach stay. Relaxed, comfortable, something like that. But it just felt flat. I wouldn’t go back.

"Honestly, I wouldn’t go back for the spa"
I was really hoping to love the spa, but it just didn’t do it for me. The massage felt rushed, the room was noisier than I expected, and the staff didn’t seem that bothered. Maybe I’m picky about spa experiences, but if I’m paying for something relaxing, I want it to actually feel relaxing. For me, it wasn’t worth it...

"Booking was way more annoying than it should’ve been"
I tried booking through oceanhouseri.com, it got frustrating fast 😕.
The site kept sending me back to re-enter things, and I couldn’t really tell if my dates were actually saved or not. The whole process felt clunky and kind of unclear.
I ended up giving up before finishing because I didn’t feel confident the booking would go through correctly. Definitely not the best first impression.
"Housekeeping was disappointing"
Housekeeping was the biggest letdown for us. The floors still looked dirty, the trash hadn’t been emptied, and we didn’t get fresh towels. I had to ask twice before anything got taken care of, which was frustrating. I get that hotels can be busy, but still...

"Bed just didn’t work for me"
The room itself was okay, I guess, but the bed really kind of ruined the stay for me. The mattress felt hard and a bit lumpy, and the pillows were flat. I’m not sure if I just got a bad room or if they’re all like that, but I woke up with a sore back both mornings and didn’t sleep much. For the price, I was expecting the bed to be more comfortable. I probably wouldn’t book again unless they update them.

"Room was really uncomfortable"
I barely slept. The bed was super hard and the room stayed way too hot all night. What made it more confusing was that the email seemed to say one thing, but the actual room situation was another, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Overall, just not a comfortable stay.

I stayed here recently, and the bathroom was the thing that really bothered me. The room itself was okay enough, but the bathroom just felt kind of neglected.
It looked old, and it didn’t seem like it had been cleaned very well. The shower pressure was weak, really weak, and the water took forever to drain. There was also this weird smell near the sink, and the towels didn’t feel fresh either.
For what I paid, I was expecting at least a clean, decent bathroom. I wouldn’t book again unless they actually fix this stuff, because it really made the stay feel a lot worse.
